Got Too Much Stuff? Get (too many) Drawers!

Sterilite_4_1.jpg
Ever make drawers? Unless you are seriously enamoured of dovetail joints, it's a crashing bore. Need drawers for your closet, sox and unmentionables, shoes, computer supplies, kids' small toys, shop hardware, kitchen implements, pantry? Thanks to Sterilite drawer units, you can become wildly rich--- in storage options.

Why? How? Who? When?

* They stack, in closets for example, up to 6 drawers high, without or with the wheels on (place bottle caps under two wheels of the top unit, to keep it from rolling off)
* They are often available at under $10 a unit
* They require no assembly, are light and have no sharp edges
* They can be deconstructed into 1 or 2 drawer units (are snap-apart or together; modular)
* They, and their contents, are water resistant; in fact, you can theoretically fill them with it
* They are easy to clean
* You can vaguely see their contents through the translucent drawer front
* You can slip an 8.5x11 label (or color panel) into the drawer front, or a small label into the hand grip
* They roll easily when you're vacuuming the floor or "making space"
* You can fit them into closets (other models, under beds), cabinets, maybe even into some armoires
* Two of them will make a passable desktop support and drawer units (for the kids at least)
* Build a fancy cabinet around them and leave the drawers to Sterilite. If you're moving, you don't need to empty them (but lift them by the bottom)

Unfortunately, they are not suitable for very heavy items.

Warning: A full bank of these stacked 6 drawers high can drive you crazy with organizational glee. In my book, they are one of the most practical home inventions of the 20th century.

Check them out if you haven't before. Available at Walmart and others.
